What can we say about the number of protons compared with the number of electrons in any atom- explain why this is.

The number of protons should be equal to the number of electrons to make it balance (proton positive,electron negative)
We can say that the number of protons (atomic number) would most likely equal the electrons to balance the atom's charge.
