John Pierport Morgan, commonly known as J.P. Morgan, was the Rockefeller of the financial world during the 1800s. He founded the banking company J.P. Morgan & Co. in 1871. Back then it was one of the leading financial firms in the United States. It was so powerful that even the American government sought for its help during the period of great depression in 1895. His company was also responsible in aiding the financial crisis of America in the year 1907.
