Time = 5³/₄ hours
Distance = 2475 miles
Speed = Distance ÷ Time
            = 2475 ÷ 5³/₄ 
            = ⁹⁹⁰⁰/₂₃ = 430.43 miles/hour

Distance LA - Tokyo = 5452
Speed = 430.43 miles/hour
Time = Distance ÷ Speed
         = 5452 ÷ 430.43
         = 12.7 hours

Using ratios:

2475 miles ⇒ 5³/₄ hours
5452 miles ⇒ x hours

Find the multiplier ⇒ 5452 ÷ 2475 = 2.203
Then multiply 2.203 by 5³/₄ to get 12.7 hours
