What i did basically was add 15 on both sides, then -15 crosses out because it is added by +15 so they are additive inverses so they get crossed out. Then we have -9+15 and - +=-. So 15 - 9=6. So ur answer is 6. You can even do a check.

-15+6=9
9=9 which proves that our answer is correct.
