a woodworker wants to earn at least $25 an hour making and selling cabinets. He pays $125 for materials. Write and solve an inequality that represents how many hours the woodworker can spend building the cabinet. (CAN YOU SOLVE THIS INEQUALITY PROBLEM FOR ME PLEASE?)

Respuesta :

if the man works for $25 an hour ans spends $125 on materials he will have to make equal or more than what he spent

25x ≥ 125

then you divide 25 from each side and that will leave you with
x≥ 5

so this man need to work 5 or more hours to break even or make a profit.

The  inequality that represents how many hours the woodworker can spend building the cabinet will be x < 10 hours

Let x represent the numbers of  hours

Given'

Amount to earn per hour $25

Amount paid for materials $125

Hence:

Inequality=25x < 125

Inequality=x < 125/25

Inequality=x < 10 hours

Inconclusion The  inequality that represents how many hours the woodworker can spend building the cabinet will be x < 10 hours
