the number of chirps is on the horizontal axis.....so the number of chirps is gonna be the x value and the temp is the y value.
y = 3x + 25......when the temp is 55....so y = 55
55 = 3x + 25
55 - 25 = 3x
30 = 3x
30/3 = x
10 = x.......number of chirps per second is 10 <==
y = 3x + 25......when the temp is 55....so y = 55
55 = 3x + 25
55 - 25 = 3x
30 = 3x
30/3 = x
10 = x.......number of chirps per second is 10 <==
y = 3x + 25
y = temperature = 55 degrees
x = number of chirps
55 = 3x + 25
subtract 25 from each side
30 = 3x
divide both sides by 3
x=30/3 = 10
x= 10
10 chirps per second
