2 (x +5) - 3 = -(2x + 1) + 1
2x + 10 - 3 = -2x - 1 + 1
2x + 10 - 3 = -2 - 1 + 1
2x + 7 = -2x
2x + 2x = -7
4x = -7

Hence, X=   -7/4
