Toddlers who consume milk to the exlusion of foods from other good groups are in danger of developing anemia (low iron levels) and low Vitamin C levels. This happens because if a toddler fills up constantly on milk (which is generally healthy in moderation), they are not going to want to eat as much from the iron rich foods that they need. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends a toddler drink between 16-24oz per day of milk.
