The consumption schedule or curve shows how much households at various levels of disposable income plan to consume at a specific time, assuming no change in the non income determinants of consumption, namely wealth, price level, expectations, indebtedness, and taxes. the consumption schedule shows  the amounts that households intend to consume at various possible levels of aggregate income. the consumption program relates directly consumption with the level of disposable income. a reduction in the level of consumption at each level of disposable personal income shifts the curve down the panel. events that could shift the curve downward include a reduction in real wealth and a decline in consumer confidence.
