What is parietal cell?

Parietal cells are responsible for the  gastric acid secretions, which add  in the digestion of any kind of food, absorptions of the  minerals, and control of the  harmful bacteria.It is also called as  oxyntic Cell, or the  delomorphous Cell, in the section of biology, one of the cells that are the sources of the hydrochlorict acid and most of the waters in to  the stomachache juices.

Parietal cells are larger in size and are most numerous than others and it is on the side walls of the gastric glands. They are calles parietal cells as they lie against the basements membrane-bound. They're secreted hydrochloric acid and Castle's intrinsically factor.
