With-in this branch, differ-ent terms are used for differ-ent things. Dialects are usu-ally formed around part-icular regions. How-ever, they may also be used within cer-tain groups of peo-ple.

For exam-ple, in The Uni-ted States, there is a part-icular dialect in the South-ern states. Within that South-ern dialect, how-ever, there may be sub-groups who speak yet anot-her dialect.
