Patrick Dougherty (born 1945) is an environmental artist from the United States. He is best known for his stick and sapling sculptures and installations.
"Maple Boody Wrap," Dougherty's first piece, was included in the North Carolina Biennial Artists' Exhibition in 1982. Since then, he has created over 300 works out of sticks and saplings. His sculptures are only temporary because the materials disintegrate and degrade over time. Dougherty has received numerous awards and grants over the years, including the Gibbes Museum of Art's 2011 Factor Prize for Southern Art.
