In general, the colonists had a positive attitude towards Great Britain in 1763, and few people would have believed the conflict that would arise a decade later. 1763 was the year in which the Seven Years' War (or the French and Indian War) ended, and Great Britain was victorious. This led to a rise in pride among the English population, including the colonists. Moreover, Britain had acquired Canada, expanding the territory of its colonies. This was also meant to decrease problems with the Native population. Finally, regulations surrouding taxation and trade would only begin to become tighter in 1764, so the colonists still enjoyed reasonable liberty.

In the year 1763,  most colonists had a positive attitude toward Britain due to its victory in the French and Indian war, which gave them pride in English heritage.  

The reasons behind a positive attitude toward Britain

Salutary neglect made colonies not follow all the British laws since they do not behave in a problematic manner. Therefore, it made people become satisfied with laws.

Secondly, the British government strengthens its taxation and trade regulating policies during the year 1764.  

Hence, it made people get freedom and enjoyed their liberty.
