Find the slope and then plug in the coordinates into the point-slope formula

Use the Rise over Run formula which is y2-y1/x2-x1

In this case it would be 5-3/-4-2

To simplify, that is 2/-6 which simplifies even further to 1/-3

The formula for slope is y=mx+b. We have MX (slope) which is 1/-3 which could be understood easier as -1/3. So far we have y=-1/3+b. B is the y intercept which we can find using point slope equation. Im not too familiar with it so I just use a website called webmath that can help.

Your final equation is y=-1/3+11/8
