When senators are elected by the state legislature the Senate served as a check on what power?

Respuesta :

When senators are elected by the state legislature the Senate served as a check on those power which is of the President's appointments which require consent, and also to provide advice and consent to ratify treaties.

The Senate, who is  elected by the state legislature, checks the President by having the power in order to approve or not approve the treaties he makes. Thus, the Senate has been given sole power to confirm those of the President's appointments which require consent, and also to provide advice and consent to ratify treaties.

The Senate also approves the appointments which the President makes to his federal judges, Cabinet, ambassadors, and all the other civilian employees of the government.

Hence, the Senate tends to share full legislative power with the House of Representatives.
