The books cited above present the aristocrat, bourgeois, and poor social classes. These classes prevented people from interacting freely and having equal access to the same resources.

Based on this, we can answer the other questions as follows:

  • Classism is still real today since the problems between social classes still exist and the difference between these classes is very strong.
  • In today's society, classism promotes prejudice, social problems, exploitation, and injustice. The same happened in the past, but more rigidly.
  • In the past, the poor class was limited to menial jobs for aristocratic lords, who did not have a defined job and lived on inheritances and great fortunes. The bourgeois, on the other hand, were merchants and worked in sales.
