1.You can hold your fingers beside the candle flame without harm,but not above the flame.
Why? Answer: Heat travels up by convection.

2.Answer: The holes are put on the top of metal lampshadeTo flow the gas outdide of the lamp.

3. Answer: Both cups will be cooler in a few minutes. The one with the metal spoon will cool faster (more) than the one without the spoon.
