Why did the native peoples of the Northwest build wood houses while those of the Southwest built with adobe?
I was going to say: The Northwest had many trees, but since the Southwest had little rainfall it would be hard to grow trees; so they decided on adobe homes. I'm not sure if this is correct so can I get a little help.

The Native Americans in the North did have many trees to build wood houses and the wooden houses were perfect for living in cold climates.
