To find the percentage of something, you have to multiply the percentage increase by the original amount.
23% = .23
(.23)(47) = 10.81

Then, we have to add this to the original amount to find the total.
47 + 10.81 = 57.81

Then, when we round this to the nearest jar it is 58, and that is the final answer.

=1081/100
=10.81

so he has to sell...47+10.81
=57.81 jars
or...58 jars !!!
