If the narration had been third-person in “Gumption,” would you have sympathized as much with the narrator? Why or why not? How did the narration affect you

So, I'm not positive on the answer, but I think I would personally not have sympathized the narrator as I would have usually, if he had a gumption attitude. I think this because it means that he is enthusiastic about being resourceful, and would most likely be positive. Once again, I am not positive on my answer, but I hope this helps!

In my opinion; I would some have sympathy, to me I thought it was a little funny in the beginning then slowly became sad. if the narration was changed I believe it would ruin the story, I love Gumption the way it is and I would hate it if it was changed. but if there was never an original and it was only Third-person; I would probably like it. the story makes me think how hard it must've been in the old days, especially with the depression.
