i bought a new comic book at the comic book shoppe and paid enitrely using quarters. If I had paid using only dimes i would have needed to pay 9 more coins. how much did the comic book cost

The comic book cost $1.50.

A quarter is worth .25 cents while a dime is worth .10 cents. This means 9 more coins would be .90 cents since each coin is worth .10 cents.

The difference between $1.50 and .60 cents is .90 cents.

25 x 6 = 150  while  10 x 6 = 60  :  150 - 60 = 90
