Answer: y=0.63x+12.5

sum of x = 260

sum of y = 288

mean x = 26

mean y = 28.8

sum of squares= 3000

sum of products= 1876

find the line of best fit or line of regression

regression equation = y = bx + a

b= 1876/3000 = 0.62533

a= 28.8 - (0.63*26) = 12.54133

then round and plug a and b into the equation

y=0.63x+12.5

you decide where to put the line by where the average or mean of the points are. there are clusters in the points which makes it easier to place the line of best fit. the outliers are the point scattered away from the line of best fit and the clusters are groups of point very closely put together.
