Jim had 360 stamps. He sold 1/3 of them on Monday and 1/4 of the remainder on Tuesday. How many stamps did he sell on Tuesday

First, you multiply 360 by 1/3, to give you 120. Then multiply 120 by 1/4. That give you 30. If you subtract 30 from 120, it gives you the answer that Jim sold 90 stamps on Tuesday.
