Hmmm well scientists believe there are two places most of our comets come from. Long period comets (which are comets that take 200 years to complete an orbit around the sun) are believed to come from the Oort cloud. Short period comets (comets that take less then 200 years to orbit around the sun) are believed to come from the Kuiper belt.
