Added personalization and stories told through the grapevine. A lot of little lies here and there in oral histories, also added bias from the person speaking on their opinion.

Oral history collection has caught on because it provides information that other types of primary sources may not. For example, many families collect oral histories to preserve the meaning of certain traditions. This information can’t be found in a book or in a photograph; instead it has to come from the people who created the experiences.
