Two consecutive even integers have the following property. When the smaller integer is added to three
times the larger integer, the result is two less than five times the smaller integer.

Unfortunately, Rafael has made an error
on the left side of the equation. Explain what error he made.

n + 3n + 2 =5n - 2

the equations is wrong because on the left hand side, you can combine like terms so in total you get 4n+2=5n-2. you can see this equation is wrong. you need the left side to equal to the right, so you can make it 5n-2=5n-2
