2. B

3. A

4. B

1. 5 were killed and 3 were injured. Contrary to what you may think, only 5 were killed.

2. The Committees of Correspondence were bodies organized by the local governments of the American colonies in order to co-ordinate the written communications between the colonies.  Committees of Correspondence played an important role in the American Revolution and during the War of Independence, spreading the colonial interpretation of British actions among colonies and foreign governments. The Committees rallied the opposition to the common cause and established collective action plans. The group of committees was the beginning of what will then became a formal political union between the colonies.  During that time, news were usually broadcasted in handwritten form and carried by couriers on horseback or by boat. The Committees of Correspondence were responsible for ensuring that these news reflected the opinion of their local government, on the subject being addressed, and their delivery to the right recipients. Many correspondents were also members of the colonial legislatures and were also active in the secret organization of the Sons of Liberty.  The first formal Committee was formed in Boston in 1764 to rally opposition to the Currency Act and unpopular reforms of the customs services.
