Answer:
Hi, sorry if I am late. I did this lab a couple days ago so I think I know some of the answers.
Explanation:
1.) The cup with the aluminum foil and the galvanized nail had a more chemical reaction than the copper wire because with both the foil and the nail, they flaked and turned a little bit of a different color and the color of the solution was different.
2.) I don't think so because the reaction with one nail, made it change color and flake, while with the other nail it created a pop sound though both of them may have created an invisible gas.
3.) I didn't notice any, but maybe there was an invisible gas when I added the solution that with the color change the old exterior became gas.
4.) I noticed that the liquid got much lighter with all three metals but that it became almost clear with the galvanized nail. And I think that the solution mixed with the outer exterior of the metals and it created a type of chemical reaction.
5.) I think a type of substance that had to do with a coloring change because most of the changes I noticed, had to do with a difference in color and I think that is because when the metal touched the copper sulfate solution and was resting with it, the solution changed color and for the nail and foil, they also changed to a different color a little bit.
For the conclusion, sorry but I want others to try and answer it and with all the evidence from the other answers, you should be able to do it. Thanks!
