The 16th president of the United States was Abraham Lincoln. He led America through the Civil war which is one of the bloodiest war of all time in the history of the United States.
Abraham Lincoln handled the country when the United States was going through the constitutional, political crisis.
In doing so he preserved the Union, modernized the economy, strengthened the Federal government and abolished the Slavery.
