My answer would be C. Humans

I choose this answer because in most recent times humans build over environments as well as sometime accidentally causing arson which destroys possibly a whole ecosystem following many different animals.

Answer:

Asteroid

Explanation:

The most recent extinction is widely believed to have been as a result of the collision of a comet/Asteroid with the earth crust. This left a massive crater on the earth surface in the region of Yucatan Peninsula at the Gulf of Mexico.

The collision affected the earth's climate severely and affected life on the earth in general. The temperature warmed and dunes of dust particles rose up to blanket the atmosphere.

The extinction is known as the Cretaceous-Paleogene, K-T extinction. It marked the beginning of the Cenozoic era and the end of the mesozoic.

The K-T extinction occurred about 66million years ago and a remarkable 75% of all organisms were wiped out. Notably was the non-avian dinosaurs. Some birds, mammals, fishes were wiped out. This extinction also birthed new species.
