Off-loom bead weaving is a family of beadwork techniques in which seed beads are woven together on flat fabric, a tubular rope, or a three-dimensional object such as a clasp, a ball, box, or a piece of jewelry. Most of the off-loom techniques can be accomplished using a single thread and needle (no warp threads), and some have two-needle variations.
How are beads weaved on a loom?
When on weaving on a loom, the beads are locked like between the warp threads by the weft threads. The most common bead weaving technique requires only two passes of the weft thread. First, an entire row of beads are strung on the weft thread. Then the beads is pressed in between the warp threads.
