The problem that the female student had was that she began the whole process by analizing the data she gathered, then proceeding to choose the audience to investigate upon with a specific purpose -(by the way, this step is one of the first ones too: you must include the audience and purpose in the research question.) And another big mistake she made was to write her question based on a source that already was asnwering it. Therefore, this students should change all the process of doing research by stating a clear research question, interesting to know about and then conduct her research, so the correct option is B "She should have written a research question before conducting research."
