However, a study was performed in MIT where the scientists assessed the mind’s eye of people from diverse cultures (Easterners and Westerners) and reconstructed their mental representations facial expressions of emotion.
The results of their study demonstrated that Westerners represent their emotions with some specific facial movements that are common in their whole group but Easterners do not.
