In the Act 3, scene 1 of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet we see Mercutio and Benvolio in the streets of Verona. Benvolio asks Mercutio to go indoors fearing they could come across Capuleto men and they would have to fight them.
In return, Mercutio responds that Benvolio also has a quick temper, like the rest of the men in this play, and that he should not criticise this personal trait in other people when he himself has a short fuse.
