for thermal imaging of an object , infrared light from the electromagnetic spectrum is used. some of the hots objects like human body and animals emit infrared radiation from their body due to the temperature of the body. these infrared radiations can not be seen by naked eye. but they can be detected by infrared cameras creating an infrared image of the object from which it receives the radiations
