A baker uses 60 grams of salt for each batch of bread. Salt comes in 42-kilograms package or a package of 1300 grams- package. Which size package should the baker buy so that no salt is left after all of the batchs are made? Explain help please!!!!

Greetings!

First you should change the amount of the 42kg package into grams:

42 x 1000 , because there is 1000 grams in a kilogram.

Now you can divide each package by 60 and find the one with no remainder:

1300 ÷ 60 = 21.666 , so it cannot be this one as there is a remainder.

42,000 / 60 = 700 , so it has to be this one as there is no remainder.

The answer would be the 42kg package would be the best as there is no remainder left over.
