Hey there! :D

All you need to do is plug in the points and see if they work.

y=3x+1; (3, 1)

1= 3(3)+1

1=10 <== this does not work

y=3x+1; (-1,-2)

-2= 3(-1)+1

-2=-3+1

-2=-2 <== this works

"B" is the answer.

I hope this helps!

y= 3x +1

If
(3, 1)  then y = 3(3) + 1 = 10 ;so (3, 1)  is FALSE
If (-1, -2)  then y = 3(-1) + 1 = -2 ;so (-1, -2)  is TRUE
If (-3, 4)  then y = 3(-3) + 1 = -8 ;so (-3, 4)  is FALSE
If (2, 6) then y = 3(2) + 1 = 7 ;so (2, 6)  is FALSE

answer
B. (-1, -2)
