Paul was a football player for a public university. He was the first member of his family to attend college and was very proud of his althlic scholarship. Paul made decent grades and unlike most of his teammates generally stayed out of trouble. In a game against the unversity in state rival, Paul made a fumble that was subsequently returned for a touchdown by the opposing team. The university president was so infuriated by Paul’s performance that he terminated Paul’s athletic scholarship. To make matters worse paul did not find out about the termination of his scholarship until he tried to enroll the following semester. Paul was confused by the presidents decision because he did not violate a university rule or policy and was never given the opportunity to challenge the presidents ruling Paul sues the university claiming his constitutional rights were violated were Paul’s constitutional rights violated why or why not
