CLIENT #2: Title IX - Equality in Activities
Participation Data Set Description
Title IX is a law that guarantees equal opportunities for male and female students
in separated activities. Our data set is specifically designed to determine if the
proportions of male and female athletes that are participating in those activities
are essentially equal. Our coaches were discussing that their male athletics teams
were seemingly larger than their female counterparts. We surveyed 100 male and
100 female students and found that 63 males and 57 females participated in
sporting activities this school year. Does it appear that the proportion of male
students that participate in athletics is higher than the proportion of female
students who participate.

have been? What would the consequences of your report have been in the context
of the problem
