Effectively managing stressors and preparing for them by proactively engaging in exercise or another wellness activity are essential parts of many self-care plans- mine included! I also like that both strategies are active methods to combat burnout. We are doing some deliberate to manage the situation rather than passively waiting to see the impact of the stressor and only responding if necessary. The proactive approach demonstrates an internal locus control, which is usually more helpful during stressful times than its opposite, an external locus of control.
