CNS accumulation results in?
1) unsteady gait (ataxia)
2) slurring of speech (dysarthria)
3) difficulty in swallowing (dysphagia)
4) abnormal posturing of the limbs, trunk, and face (dystonia)
5) impaired voluntary rapid eye movements (supranuclear gaze palsy)
6) gradual loss of intellectual abilities, causing dementia and seizures
7) bones also may be affected: symptoms may include enlarged BM cavities, thinned cortical bone, or distortion of the hip bone called coxa vara
8) sleep-related disorders
9) gelastic cataplexy (sudden loss of muscle tone when laughing)
