Coverage: Bacillus anthracis (ciprofloxacin), mycoplasma, chlamydia, rickettsia, Shigella, Streptococcus pneumoniae (levofloxacin)
MOA: Inhibit DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV (bactericidal)
Adverse effects/other: GI toxicity, photosensitivity, chelates w/ cations (space apart by several hours), adjust dose in renal dysfunction, tendon rupture, growth abnormalities (contraindicated in pregnancy and pediatric patients)
