A researcher was interested in investigating the relation between amount of time studying and science achievement among high school students taking Biology. In the two weeks leading up to their final exam, high school students enrolled in Biology from the Anaheim Union High School District were asked to record the number of hours they spent studying for their final exam in Biology. Students then took their Biology final exam (scored 0- 100). The researcher analyzed the relation between number of hours studied and science achievement and found r= .47, p<.05. There are two variables identified in this study.
1. For the first variable: (a) Name the variable, (b) indicate the type of variable (predictor, criterion, independent, or dependent), and (c) give the operational definition. 2. For the second variable: (a) Name the variable, (b) indicate the type of variable (predictor, criterion, independent, or dependent), and (c) give the operational definition.
