1. For this project, you are to research the 2007/2008 collapse (former President Bush referred to it as the "fiscal cliff") in the United
States. For research, use your browser and go to the government's site for TARP, which was a federal funding program to relieve
the financial problems. Use this as your main source for project information.
2. Identify and summarize each of the factors that contributed to the collapse and what the national regulatory agencies did about
it.
3. Identify the banking, securities, and legal events that occurred during the mortgage industry collapse, the fiscal cliff, of 2007.
Write at least one paragraph explaining what happened in each sector as a result of the fiscal crisis.

2. Write one to two paragraphs about the impact on the consumers, mortgage holders, and workers in America.
3. Your paper must include three distinct sections; I. Events, II. Regulatory Actions, and III. Impact on Individuals. The paper must be
two to five pages, double-spaced, with one-inch margins of original content. Extra credit will be given for substantial detail in the
